Recycling
At ENERG1, we take environmental responsibility seriously. Lead-acid batteries contain materials such as lead and acid that, if not handled properly, can harm soil and water systems. That’s why we ensure all used batteries collected from our customers are recycled safely and responsibly.

Why Recycling Matters
Automotive and industrial batteries are classified as hazardous waste if disposed of improperly.
Recycling:
- Prevents environmental contamination
- Conserves valuable materials like lead and plastic
- Reduces the need for raw material extraction
- Supports a circular economy in the energy sector; a sustainable future for Sri Lanka and beyond.

Our Recycling Process
When you return your used ENERG1 battery:
- We collect it at an ENERG1 showroom
- It is then processed at the recycling facility
- These facilities safely process the batteries, separating lead, plastic, and acid for reuse
- Lead and other recovered materials are re-used, keeping hazardous waste out of landfills and supporting local industry
What We Recycle
We accept all types of automotive and industrial batteries.

What To Do With Your Old Battery
